I probably won't get that here.

I am getting some PFS soon for the tank. Any reason you don't use it with polys?

My cat is fat off of scraps but not growing much recently. Maybe just cause I don't see too much of him

Eh just an aesthetic thing, LJ polys show much better colors and a lot more green on a red or purple substrate, so since I was tailoring the tank around polys I splurged and bought the colorful sand. All my other tanks of PFS though, you can't beat the price, and the weight is perfect for vacuuming as it doesn't really suck up in a siphon or into a canister filter unless you submerge the intake in the sand

Understandable, I'm going for a natural tank so tan or brown pfs would be better for me. My polys don't have patterns to enhance :p

I think the colour sand is great for the bare poly tanks most people keep, I'm trying something a bit different :)

Are there any vids of your tank?

It's a bit old, but I do have a 5 minute feeding time video that I had posted here a while back:
Looks great man.

Nothing new here bro lots of us started with pfs. Its good sand to use but not really natural looking unless you mix it with some darker

Pretty much my only option unfortunately. :(

nothing wrong with it. See if you can get some smaller gravel or pebbles and mix it in or just leave it as is

I'm adding stones for scape and will end up with lots of vallis so the colour of the substrate will have a lessened effect on the eye. I'll have to see how it works :)

Damned school wifi blocks the video :(
