Definitely agree...Both Fabricio's statement and Scat's pictures are showing these cichla with different coloration depending on locale. Which makes me wonder if the red from Sao benedito is environmental from water parameters, food related, or simply a different population..i.e genetic.

Back to a statement I made earlier, I have a hunch these different locales may be broken down into seperate sp. once they do a new revision on Cichla species.

This one has the tail of an azul, body shape of an orino, the last bar of an ocellaris and spangling of an ocellaris. This thing is bombin.
