Okay, I really don't know how to explain why I feel something is morally wrong. I could say your post is pointless just as easily. Why do you think it's pointless? Explain yourself. LOL I'm just kidding.

My explaination is just that I happen to think there is something a bit twisted in the killing of anything just because it's putting you out. Kids are inconvenient a lot of the time, too. Would I have to explain why I thought killing a child for being a PITA was wrong?

I know that comparing a fish to a child is kinda stretching it, but their both living things.

Killing children would be considered unethical by the most forgiving standards. It is even hard to think of an attitude that would have any ethical standards but would still aprove of that.

Killling fish on the other hand is one of the most basic human behavors.

Is fishing unethical? breeding fish for food? breeding them for food/fun/food&fun in your living room?

I see how you can get attached to a fish so that it would be impossible for you to eat it.

I don't see how it would justify establishing a new ethical standard and try dictating that standard to other people.

We have been eating animals we raise and often love for thousands of years.

Raise goose, love goose, eat goose for Christmas.

Loads of people on this website eat the fish they raised. There were a few discussions.

Bottomline there is no such accepted standard. You feel it's wrong, I do not.

Note who you are surrounding yourself with! There is a reason.

I fish and I eat fish. I don't kill my pets. That's the difference to me. If someone's going to disagree with me, I really don't care.

When you take on a pet, be it dog, cat, fish, bird or other, I look at it as taking on a responsibilty. A lot of people just don't view fish as pets. I do.

You have not yet produced one single argument but are continuing to accuse people of immorality.

She's not pointing any fingers...just saying HER opinion...and it's not killing your pets, it's killing and eating their species.....and killing and/or eating your pets isn't as widely acceptable as you make it out to be.....my input...
