So horrible to see them all.. so sorry for your loss Sarah... my deepest sympathy... major sad.

thanks guys, and lol Balton i am still grieving a bit but i don't want to add any new fish until im sure the water quality is back to where it should be. the water was pretty gross and slimy yesterday after having all of them die in there at once, going to do another water change today and then test it after a couple days and see where the parameters are at

and jwalker where abouts are you at? but yeah i know how ya feel the cichlid community in this area is pretty much non-existant

im from a small town called icard but its directly in between morganton and hickory, most people know those two places. i have alot of friends who go to school there. i found a lfs in longview (before you get to hickory) that carries really rare cichlids and if he doesnt have them in stock he can get them. he goes to south america every year and catches F0's and brings them back. so in my dwarf tank all of my fish are F0's. this guys legit. its called the fish warehouse and if you need anything he ships too. PM me if you ever need anything. he only has quality fish and his costs are really low.

So sorry to hear........That really sux.

That's part of the reason I'm an overfilterer. I'm so paranoid I've even gone as far as to run my powerheads in the tank and my airpump for the sump, on a separate line, so at least they'll both continue to get water movement even if the tank circuit trips. Probable going to invest in a battery backup too, living in Florida

Filter clogging is tough though. Can't predict that. may want to throw an ac whatever on there just to be safe.

Best of luck!
