This happened to me not long ago too. Sorry for the loss Sarah :( I tripped a breaker. Amazing how fast a tank can crash..
 
sorry about your loss:( i live not too far from you, nice to see more people from NC on here. i feel like a loner out here in the country.
 
Thanks again everybody i appreciate it, definitely going to keep a much closer eye on filter output from now on... and Gruff i didnt actually measure the pictus though i should have! but the argentea in that picture is exactly at the 7.5in mark so you can see how big they are compared to him, i would place the larger one at about 7in and the smaller one 6.5 or so... and jwalker where abouts are you at? but yeah i know how ya feel the cichlid community in this area is pretty much non-existant
 
That's a shame, but not your fault. And you learned from this catastrophe, and wont make the same mistake twice. I lost a growout tank of festae and ornatum, very costly mistake. Looking forward to see what route you take on restocking!
