The BEST Soups on Earth

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Being half Chinese, i wouldn't even know where to begin with all the soups out there...

But to make it more general, i would probably say:

1) Good French Onion Soup
2) Good bowl of Beef Pho Noodles
3) One of the many Chinese soups i don't know how to describe...

New England Clam Chowder, my favorite is from this place in Boston, Can't remember the name right now.

CUP OF NOODLES OR TOP RAMEN LOL jk.

A good mexican soup for me is MENUDOHow_to_eat_menudo_with_hominy.png

last time i had chili was from wendy's, i don't care what people say, their chili is bomb

Wow,just what I was getting at.Wendy's chili is the best I've had.

Well I dunno about the best ever, but it is awesome...

Flame me if you must but Friendly's has the best New England style clam chowder I've ever eaten..

My fiance gets it EVERY time we go.

For me:

#1 My mom's squirrel soup... BAM (well not actually "squirrel" its actually "escarole" with sausage, potatoes and cream... superb!)

i agree, may not be the best but i gotta be honest, i've actually had chilli at restaurants that weren't as good as wendy's.

and i gave you 2 internet points for the squirrel soup. then i took away 3 for not actual squirrel. :irked:

Wendy's chili is the best that I have had, I'm sure there has to be some out there that sinks Wendy's but I have yet to sample it....Yeah the squirrel soup turned out to be a let down since it is in name only.....I was going to visit a nearby Asian supermarket and get some Pho soup to try for the first time but something came up so I might go tomorrow.

i don't know man, you mean you gonna make it yourself? if you're not familiar with it, and never made it before, it may not turn out right. i dont' know if they have powdered stuff to make the broth at home but if they did, i wouldn't recommend that.

the best broth has to be made from scratch. it's not hard to do, but you still gotta know how to make it right. I'd recommend going to a local vietnamese restaurant and order the beef pho if it's your first time. usually the special or combo bowl will have beef, beef balls, tripe and tendon. if you don't like that stuff, they have different ones.

Oh no,I won't make it myself this supermarket has a restaurant inside and they serve it there. It is very near my home and I shop there every now and then for cheap seafood for my fish... I will go with your recommendation and ask for the beef pho....It is the won ton soup that I will try to make one day.

oh i see

yea try it out. it comes plain and the ingredients are on the side for you to add yourself like the lime, oyster sauce, fish sauce, sriracha and things like that. i personally like mine a little spicy and sour

Will do and there is another nearby place called Pho Hoa that I could check out.
