you realize since your in NY you will be competing with people like rapps if your business takes off. I've seen people like you come and go. Doing research and knowing some stuff doesnt mean it will work. We have had a few mon and pop fish and pet stores go under around here. Most banks will not back this type of business right now and i know this due to friends and family who work for banks and other investment companies and told me it its not a good investment for banks. You can do what you want and good luck i hope it works but realize for every business that makes it thousands go under and are now left to pay back money they will spend the rest of their life doing

Not to be rude, but i doubt the OP is planning on opening up a physical brick and mortar store any time soon that will require a bank loan, especially if you consider hes only 14/15 and running this business out of his parents house...
I mean he seems to have covered a lot of his bases as is... so unless he has no customers, he should have a pretty good little venture for going for him..

Its no problem and i hope it works for him but i was just stating that like other people said and many threads that have been on here about the same thing is that these small lil outta the house shops dont work long term. Not saying he wont have a good run at it but i dont want him to get his hopes up that it will unless he his able to aquire some larger tanks and fish that are in more demand.
All fry are doing good. Might buy some more livebearers if price is right. Should have a few fish for sale in the coming weeks.
Great job kid! you are doing better than most. And don't let anyone tell you it can't be done. By the time this thread runs it's course you should have a bucket of crabs to sale also.

Good news, I turned on the 55gal light and just as I was expecting I see fry swimming around the tank. I only moved 1 to the 10gal so far, I will get a count to you shortly.
I only saved 5 fry and I witnessed one being eaten. I am selling the Bolivian Rams to a friend tomorrow. I'm waiting for this fish room so I can get a few 10 and 20 gallon planted tanks for the guppy and shrimp colony. Also I have been looking into some wild livebearers for the fish room possibly.
I have some of the guppies for sale now, they will be shipping in the first or second week of Febuary. P.M. me for some details. I only am going to sell a small quantity so get them while they last.
Also I am looking into getting some endlers and some Marbled self cloning crayfish. By the time I send out my first orders my fish room should be ready. Hopefully by spring I have a lot of stuff for sale.
