hi- at a local chain pet store, they have a relatively large white oscar. he looks like he had hole in the head disease since there's scars all ove rhis head, down to the bone it seems. he seems healthy though. so i feel for him sinc ehe's in very tight quarters. but well i cannot offer anything larger than 29 gallons at the moment as i am living with my parents and they say no to any tank larger due to space issues, which are toally legitimate. the 29 gallon is empty, save for a pleco (about 5"). yes i know they get to be 2-3' but i will trade the little fellow in when he outgrows the tank. ummm, so should i go ahead and get this little oscar? i guess for size he's about 1/2" thick and maybe about the size of a standard american size checking book. i know, he's gonna probably grow too big, but i feel sorry for the little fish.

No

well the fact that i am asking shows my doubts. i know they get huge. i just feel for the fish, ya know. he looks like he's been abused, lol. thats why i call him th warrior cause he ain't dead yet, even though his bnes are showing.

No don't save him in less u can get him a bigger tank..

The 29 gallon tank you can put him in will be no different from the pet shop one: he will be miserable in both, but at least in the pet shop he has the chance of being bought by someone with a tank that is large enough. So if you feel sorry for him, leave him there and hope that he goes to the right place, and save yourself the headache.
