Goldfish get way to big for a fish bowl. One comet needs a 50-70 gallon aquarium. Most fancy's require 30 gallons for one and 10 gallons for each additional one.This probally happens countless times a day but I was at the LFS the other day looking around at all the tanks. In walks this young couple and as there getting ready to pick out some saltwater fish the owner asks them what kind of set-up they have. They answer "it's a bowl about this big" I blurted out "oh boy" and sighed before I could restrain myself.
Thank god the owner talked them into some gold fish instead of the mandrin's, tangs and clowns they wanted.

I screw with petsmart people... I ask them if they had any "blue waffles" instead of purple, and omg they just go on aand on about how purple is just betterlll

Yea he did have a big tank. After he told me that he kept them in a 120 I understood why his fish did not fight.You could easily keep firemouths and convicts together in a tank that size...
