Ok i kind of get what your reffering to. I still disagree with more restrictions over education of keepers on proper requirements.

Darius is right. Your home is not a lawless immune zone. Who's to say that everyone who has aros and rtc's have 2000 gallon tanks. the thing is they don't. And if people aren't educated about them then they shouldn't keep them period. unless they get a permit with a test. which works in germany. I like the idea.

Thats what i´m talking about. Some people think their house is a immunity zone, where they can do anything. No you can´t! You can´t hold a RTC in a 75 gallon tank, you can´t rape in there, you can´t take illegal drugs in there. How much Arowana survive the 1st year? maybe 5%. We must stop to see such animals as a product you can buy and throw away. Warnings don´t work so we need regulations. Its that simple.

Right but how do you educate? That would be ideal. But regulation is most practical

We both know education doesn´t work when it comes about status symbols. If education would work, no one would drink or smoke.

It does work i have worked in a pet store and people tended to make the better decision when educated. Let me stop you right there. I smoke so please stop.

i can't stand smokers . You worked in a pet store? You say people tended to make the better decission when educated. So when someone does not hear on your teaching lessons. What then?

do you see that as positive? with a reglation you have a tool to stop such madness. There is a guy here who has a rtc and two arowanas in a 55 gal. The smaller arowana lives in a breeder net. whats your opinions about that?
