Regulations for certain fish species

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
well we already have powerful lobbys in the USA who want ban exotic pets completly. Its time to react and the reaction can't be that evrything should stay the way it is. We need regulations to stop abuses and show the public that there are reasonable fish keepers that do care or their pets. Thats my opinion. I don't care if you are against it. Reality speaks for itself.

Why address a public forum and then say you don't care what people think? Isn't that a very strange thing to say. If their your thoughts and you don't feel the need for validation why post on a public forum a statement? Posting a question would be different, but you made a statement, why if you don't care? Reality you keep saying, but offer no empirical data. Since your the only one speaking of reality where's the data to back the claims?

thanks for the personal insult :)

You keep a RTC in 75 gallon tank, thats animal abuse. Animal abuse is a crime. Crime is a violence against society and not accepted. At the moment its a silent crime because it happenes mostly unnoticed. Once regulations kick in, it will be noticed and many fish will be taken out of their fish concentration camps.

If this is how you truly feel you shouldn't have any fish or other pets you are abusing them by removing them from their natural environment

Well i don't see here RTC and Aros in evry LFS. So im pleased :) The average guy gets his goldfish and thats it. I like that.
The average guy here also gets his goldfish... to feed his RTC and aro. I like that!

Lol! What's funny is I'm from the Bronx and I virtually never see an Aro or RTC around here. That doesn't mean their not out there, just means I don't see them and trust me I've been to nearly every LFS in the Bronx. It's a bad point to just list off a personal experience as reasoning for a law/regulation. Cause then I could make the same point about the whole US. The only reason I even knew about RTC's and Aro's was because I stumbled onto this site and then found them at Shark Aquarium(through this site.lol!) in person. Still I would never use my experience to generalize the success of my countries laws, I'm just not that presumptuous.

you like mass animal abuse? what do you like about aros hold in breeder nets and rtc in 75 gallon tanks? Let me understand it please
Read and comprehend...

explain your view on the topic please. Maybe you can do it without insults
There will be no explaination, when you don't know what you are talking about... Let's see, you start with
In germany laws exist that demand that you make tests to get a certificate so you can have certain animals like parrots, snakes, caimans and so on.

Your fellow countryman pointed out your mistake
That certificate doesn't need any tests for parrots and snakes...not sure about crocodilians though.

And you correct him with this...
You need a certificate to breed parrots.

You can't distinguish or understand the different between "have" and "breed." It's not an insult. It's a fact!
