Slate tile bottom on my 300g

In My House
Just finished laying slate tile in my 300g. I went with slate cuz I love contrast. I also layered it for 2 reasons...

1-Cuz I didn't want to buy a tile cutting tool.
2-again, it adds contrast.

What do u guys think?

Looks neat. You may have a problem with detritus and food getting stuck under the tiles and fouling the water. It may be worth cutting them to size to minimize the amount of water under the tiles.

I think its horrible and messy and you should have gone with black ceramic tiles and lined them neatly after cutting them to size - just my 2 cents

Thanks for ur input.

After laying it, IMO, it had the wow factor. A lot better than the plain ole, boring, played out white sand that I just took out.

it all comes down to what u like bro..i like it..just poop getting trapped under the slates would b a worry..
