IDEAS on potential Tank size for CENTRALS set-up

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
You guys are funny. Just keep all the fish you want, and if things don't work out, go buy more tanks, And seperate them. All will be well. You will be fine, your fish will be fine. Just keep a close eye on whatever you decide. This holyer then now crud is one of the reasons many of my good friends (who by the way are often far more knowlagable and experianced then a lot of the know-it-alls here) refuse to come on this site. It sucks that we as a community, stop very knowlagable people from coming on this site because of "our" ways of handeling things. The whole idea of scaring people away from the hobby rather then educating them on it is completely nonsence. I really don't see what anyone gains from bad mouthing, or talking down to someone with a question... anyway, sorry for ranting. Happy fish keeping :)

Exactly my thoughts.... There's quite a few smartarses on this site who think they can get away with being rude and disrespectful and look down on very experienced cichlid keepers like myself... some Mods protect them and empower them to do as they want... I had one of my threads closed down because I refused to agree that one of my fish was, in their opinion, a Midevil... Whatever, happened to free speech, hey!!! Yeah the thread was going backwards and forwards there but if they didn't agree they should have just ignored me and gone off into there own little worlds... but instead one of their Mod chums, in the spirit of mod impartiality, agreed with them and closed down my thread.

Unless you could prove otherwise, your fish is (was?) a Midevil ;)

And I've yet to find a friendly salvini (or istlanum). But good luck in the quest!

Matt

Then you have the guys that post questions then are given polite honest advice and refuse to take the advice seriously until they hear what they want to hear. Thats when people who were nice and gave solid advice get a little peeved and things get out of control and threads get shut down.

If you already know the answer to the question your asking why ask? Amd the idea of some kind of mod protection is a bit absurd and wrong cause it doesnt happen. Mods are normal people too and are allowed to have opinions on the matter at hand too and if they happen to disagree theres probably a reason. Not trying to stary anything here but stating facts that seem to trend on cybermans threads.

Obviously NOT a man of his word... You said you wouldn't post in any of my threads again... and here we are again - YOU Trolled around looking for arguments free of any threat coz your pals with the Mods... Yes Mods are entitled to their opinions but not execute closure on one of my threads because it!!

You both obviously didn't read my responses correctly and my questions... I agreed istlanum shouldn't be put into the set-up but other members have suggested it may be possible to include Salvini... Therefore, I'm not asking questions that I already have made my mind up on, like you're trying to suggest!!

Also, maybe we might get on a bit better if you didn't always keep concentrating on being negative!

If I remember correctly your thread was closed not because of mods being out to get you but because of all the arguing. Heated topics don't last long. As far as that thread goes, you did play your part in getting it closed. Senior members who know quite a bit telling you something and you in some ways telling them
they are wrong will start an argument. If you are not willing to listen to advice why bother asking questions in the first place?
