Umbee vs dovii personality!

I would pick a dovii. Nothing beats a male dovii for a large preditory cichlid. The teeth are massive compared to umbee. They seem to have a lot more personality.

Madness dovii is my favourite dovii on mfk by far! Dovii has the sheer beast and thickness, Ihave not seen a huge Umbee in person but I think for a show piece Umbee leads Dovii by FAR!!! Im thinking about getting rid of one pair either Dovii or Umbee because it is a lot of fish to house both but I cant part with my Dovii.

Had the pleasure to go to the Washington Cichlid Club meet at madness's place and its always awesome to see that fish in person. Also got to talk dovii with the king Mel O Mera which was as cool as i have imagined. Mel said his dovii was about twice the size of Shawn's which is easily 18"+ which is hard to imagine. More than likely the largest cichlid ever kept in aquaria.
Dude, no offense to Shawn's dovii, because that is a really great looking fish, but strictly speaking on size, Mel's dovii makes that thing look like a convict.

DOVII !! In all honesty you can't go wrong with either but if as the title says "Umbee vs dovii personality!" the clear winner hands down is a Dovii
Wow Fishman, im sure that was quite the experiance! Lucky guy, Im assuming Shaun is Madness, I just love the whole blue body on his dovii , Mels from the Videos is Just insane he is Huge and also has very nice color! Some one asked Mel what he perfered if he could only keep either dovii or Umbee and he did say DOVII! He has beauties of both species.
Isn't that the male of a pair he keeps in a 600 gallon?
