Pro68camaro on the other site is the one who bought him. Little pirayas finger chasing now, and his colors are still getting taller an taller. Hes taking great care of him and thats all i wanted from the new owner.

Well, on a plus note the 5 "trees" that I put in there are starting to release tannins now so the water is starting to yellow a little, hopefully with that much fresh wood in there it'll be able to keep the water tinted brown a little bit. I am still considering a piraya for in there, what I may do is once the rbp are to the correct size of the piraya I'll order him and put a divider in the tank to let them visually adjust to each other then just watch them closely when I take it out to see what happens. I think once these guys hit that size (4"-6") I'm not going to have to worry about cannibalism much anymore anyway, and throw the sheer size of the tank on top of that and hopefully it'll be successful. I am loving having rbp again I do know that :) just watching the little guys go after food is just fun to watch and to have them actually come to the front of the tank to "greet" me is amazing I've never had rbp that would do that at this size. All the groups I've had in the past when they were small would skatter and bash their heads into walls, rocks w/e just to get away lol. Mike what were you sellin your shoal of caribas for? I'm serious in when I say if you still have them when mine are the appropriate size I'd buy them!

Im asking $400 for the eight of them. Theyre all in the neighborhood of 6-7".

Mixing new members into a shoal is a scary deal. What seems to work best is to chase the existing fish around a bit, introduce the new ones and mix them all up again. Makes them all stressed instead of just the new guy(s) so no one in particular is a target.

I actually pull the existing shoal an re introduce all the fish at the same time, with the lights off.

That's about 12 months or so, depending on growth to hit 6"ish

And in one year your pygos will be 9-11" or so...

Not to be negative but I don't see this working with a 1 year age Gap, the offset is too much, would be rad tho.

Op maybe feed them protein shakes:P

Beefheart power feeding sessions?

A little HgH, and the beefheart protein shakes, oh yea they are gonna be BEASTS! :p

Lol! Idk their man hood might shrink to oblivion...

I do hope mike finds a great home for his fish, I just don't think rbp babies will ever catch up to 6-8" caribes.... Put a trolling motor in your tank, and inject them with liquid NLS!
