How to tell Retroculus Xinguensis from Lapidifer at 2"?

If you check on youtube, there is a guy who kept a journal of the growth of his xinguensis. He was pretty consistent with it.
See the thing is im looking at lapidifers since thats what i have

I'm not sure but I'm thinking why not. A lot of people keep different eartheater together.

I think orino will be the first person i have heard of to keep the two species together as adults if he keeps them in the same tank when they grow up to adult stage.

Yes I keep both species together. I have a copy of Thomas weidners South American eartheaters book, and in there, Thomas weidner also kept xinguensis And lapidifer together and his were all adults

Orino, so how does sexing work? Would u need to vent them or there's special characteristic male have that female don't or visa versa?
