If you get a pond pump and hook it up to your python you can drain two tanks at once or drain one tank twice as fast. Putting aquarium water into the outside environment (ie. Out a window) rather than down a drain is illegal in most states. I'm not sure where you are located, but here it is a $10,000 fine. I actually know some one who was busted for doing it. You may think oh, they will never drive by my house and see it, but all it takes is one neighbor concerned with what you are "dumping" to call authorities on you. Just sayin....

I believe that is the grey water law thing right? Yes.. I have heard it is illegal.. but i dont have any ponds or bodies of water anywhere near my area... As i am in the farthest back in a large development. Not to 2/3 of my property is gated anways... Currently i only have a 55.. so the amount of water I dump is approximately 3-4 buckets anways... But when that new 275 gallon comes in it will be 5 times the amount.. so i will find an alternative.. possibly just hooking it up to s sump and a sprinkler. But thank you For this information. it didnt occur to me until you mentioned it.
