You sure do have a lot of HOBs. I've never kept goldfish but its hard for me to imagine that two AC500s would be anything less than perfect for even your biggest tank.

When I had the powerheads at the top the surface agitation was so strong that if I took the lids off the waves would go over the edge of the tank. The splashing even with lids was LOUD. I... had to tone it back some. LOL
