i bet he was joking, he knows all the filteration in the world cant beat weekly water changes.......it shouldn't reduce your water change schedule. the primary reason for water changes is to remove what your filters can't (nitrates.)

Here’s a unique idea if you want to improve aesthetics, drill and plum in a 225 underneath the 75 as a sump. This way you will be able to do some aquascaping in the 75and still be over filtered. You might actually be the only person with this type of set-ups. Still enough room for a couple HOS filters on the 225 WIN,WIN!
