Arapaima in the Gta

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Like i said, you guys proved your point. I honestly thought it would be fine for a year or 2 in a 225. I never said i would upgrade as i planned on just rehoming it when it got to big. But ill have to pass on the pimas.

I feel if you can give it a good life fir a cpl years its not really cruel in my opinion even if you euthenize the fish after. Most of fish fry from every species gets eaten. At least one gets to flourish for a cpl years. Thats not such a bad thing,

I think ill draw the line at the RTC now. Thanks for the brutal honesty everyone.

I'm not going to tell you not to keep the RTC because you probably will anyway.

What footprint is the tank?
Whats the filtration like?
Please don't keep any tank mates with it.

honestly, I wouldn't keep the RTC in that tank for more than 6months.

if you'd like to keep one permenant, why not just build a tank for him

Ill just watch his growth. My buddy has had 1 for a few months. Hes watching mine. Mine only being 4" right now.

His looks pretty comfortable in a 140 at 3m plus whatever age he was at purchase.

it may look comfortable but you can't always tell. they should hit a minimum of 3' really you need a 9' x 5' tank. what are u going to do when he outgrows your tank?
