I was thinking the same thing. Hard to believe a monster tank could just disappear like that. But then again, from the other picture it looks like it was a serious blaze. All the more reason to be thankful your family is safe.

oh my god.. i never expected to see this........i am so sorry for your losses.......... thank god you all are safe........

I'm blown away from your story, Personally when considering such large losses i try and steer away from the financial suffering as although i appreciate it's important, there are far more significant factors.
I can't understand to imagine, i can't even try, but the loss of your collection of fish and your cats dogs and birds must absolutely devestate you, those poor creatures.

I know i must be making the same comment that many people have made to you but i'm truly very glad to hear that you did not lose your daughter or wife in the process, i wish you the best of luck in the future and hope you can put this behind you and once again find happiness.

Best wishes!

who says we send this guys story to ATM(tanked) and tell them wat happened maybe we could altogether help him rebuild his life

There's far more to life than fish tanks mate! The guy still has his wife and child, and I'm sure all the old guys will vouch that they are far more important than anything else. TBH, if it were me I'd probably be taking a break from the hobby after suffering such a great loss. I'm sure he appreciates the gesture and all the support, but I'm guessing he has a long road to travel before setting up another aquarium.

Chaidan, sorry if I'm way off the mark, all the best for if/when you return to the hobby!

im so sorry for your losses. im praying for a better future for you and your family and the all the beautiful animals you have lost in the fire. i really cant imagine how that feels but this really hits me and i will always be double checking anything hazardous before i sleep. i have all my outlets plugged with tanks wall to wall, i may have to decrease my sizes so less outlets will be used just incase. again im very sorry and greatest condolences to you and your family. keep your heads up.
