don't know if it's a FH

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Lots of Fish food are good enough since long ago. It's mostly the genes of your fish and how well it's taken care of.

But research the Synspilum and Trimac diet and put it together for this guy..

He's turning out really pretty in the video. Like a dull Rainbow. I think Hikari is good enough or perfect for your fish to grow up on.

This Syn(now owned by MBTjake) here was on Hikari gold as he grew to this.

wow....well that one is a complete stunner
thanks a lot for your advise

just a quick update
what can i feed him/her more to pump him/her up?

what's the exact temp in the tank?

Try adding some crushed corals. I heard kamfas like to up their PH a lil bit. And try temp at 84-86. Water change with aged water. Try that for a month and maintain. Feed all the goodies you can give him but water change as equally.

What size tank is he in and who's next to him?

try water temp at 86.

the only good thing that sell here for flowerhorn are only Hikari Cichlid Gold
the lfs in my country don't sell food specially for FH :(
i do a 20% water change every week and there is no one next to him or her
i don't even know its gender yet

everyday i put a mirror besides the tank
the red line you see on the left is the side of the mirror

ohh, good, i didnt notice tht. so, besides hikari wht else u feed her? have u ever tried feeding her some worms, crickets or maybe frozen food like shrimps, as a treat? she would love those.

a good chance tht yours might be a female based on the size of the kok, but i dont see any spots on the dorsal fin(probably a male). venting should do the job.
