There's medicine readily available in LFS for this disease
 
Its up to the owner but sometimes meds cost more than what the fish is worth and youre never 100% sure if the meds will even work. Depending on which meds it can also kill the fish if you aren't careful.

You can feed it heavily with garlic enhanced pellets. Meds i would go for are prazipro or jungle parasite clear. JPC comes in convenient tablets and is already measured, simple and cheap. Its usually my go to med in a quarantine tank for new arrivals that im sketchy about. Not new loaches that look like they have razor back but other new fish. I wont even buy a clown loach that looks like it has skinny disease.

I agree. I am very picky about the fish I buy. I usually prefer the chunkier ones to go with. They definitely tend to show more promise.

I had bad new tonight when I came home from work.. .. my smallest clown died today. Measured it at 5.5". I was not a happy camper. I am planning to maybe buy a couple small loaches to make up for this.

My tank busted a couple weeks ago and I'm still working on recovering. My loaches have bad ich right now. I'm hoping my largest gets better fast. Doing the salt and temp treatment
