Its all about how knowledgeable the person you ask on the subject is that hates them to alot of people a hybrid is a mix of to completely different cichlids(species) and they dont even realize that their making a hybrid when they are breeding a herichthys carpintis escondido to a herichthys carpintis vontehillo and these people also don't even realize that in the wild there are cichlids out there that rely on the survival of their offspring through hybrid speciation an instance where two species are wiped out by fertile hybrids of the two species for example herichthys carpintis were introduced into parts of mexico where herichthys labridens are native to well carpintis are naturally spawning with labridens and wiping that species out in the area and certainly none will be pure carpintis personally I don't see any reason over hating hybrids or mistakes because I know it does happen in nature and is a part of evolution by jumping thousands of years in genetic mutations for one species from just one spawn between two species and personally I love hybrids of all species infact there's a place on the way to the job site I've been on for the past month that has a zonkey its the cools thing I've ever seen grazing infront of someone's house
