Lol how does an unarmed civilian take on a gang of over armed terrorists? You forget they kill everyone who won't join them.

AK rifles are a dime a dozen over there, when the people ban together to save themselves and stop that group, coupled with financial reward then the right heads will roll.

Back to animals. I don't care that it's food or a trophy or killed for fur or parts of its body. It's seeing a life that was just functioning and eyes that just looked at me....and extinguishing that life that makes me feel guilty. No matter what it's used for, you just terminated it and it's never coming back. However, I don't feel the same twang of guilt when I get it at the store....because I'm not directly murdering it

I feel this way sometimes. Especially looking down at a sandwich that took at least 3 animals to complete.

How is it better if the animal was killed by someone else for you? I can understand not wanting to kill it but having done that beforehand it should hardly be a problem

I didn't say it was better. I said "outta sight, outta mind". In other words, I'm not thinking about it.

Let's not get it twisted, the problem isn't who kills it (me or you or them) but seeing it killed. Saying it's even a problem is exaggerating because it doesn't stop me in the first place. I just don't enjoy doing it. You know what else I don't enjoy doing? Doing oil changes. Should I stop driving my car because I don't enjoy doing an oil change? Is it being a hypocrite that I let another man do it for me while still enjoying the benefit? Food is no different. I let slaughterhouses and food producers do the less enjoyable parts for me instead of always doing it myself.

Speaking of food, Carl's has a new "natural" burger. It's advertised as no steroids, antibiotics, or hormones. Nothing like listing the ingredients of all the other burgers, then paying more for probably a worst tasting burger. Then finding out clean natural beef is so unheard of here, it has to be imported from Australia :/ smh

I saw that the other day as I was chowing down on an unnatural big Carl.

I guess maybe growing up with a family who fishes, hunts and raised chicken I have no problems seeing wild game birds and animals and chickens die in front of me

it's a normal part of life to me

i'm a little surprised you feel guilty watching animals die, but you can watch isis executions
