Why are we never satisfyed? Natural vs Manmade

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I love fish who's color pops in my dimly lit tanks. Don't care how it gets there, man made or from nature. Don't care if it's rare or not. COLOR is what's it's all about for me. If i have to pay for it, i will. If snow aros were common and regular silver aros were the rare ones, i would certainly pick the snow color because of color, not rarity. I would take a snow aro with it's eyes hanging out of his head, over a normal aro with perfect eyes any day. Having said that, regular silver aros color pops pretty gd too, just not like a snow imo. Not into the freak body morphs like shortbodies, highbacks, veiltails, etc on any fish. That's just me

Well most of the above comments say they don't like man made if this is the case I see it stated over and over again that you wish you could keep Asian aro in the U.S.

If you don't like man made if you was allowed Asian aro you wouldn't buy one as most of them are crossed with something else to get higher shine levels thicker body or bigger fins even RTG Super red and xback

I wouldn't own an aro of any type but that just my preference.

The only mutations I don't care for are the genetic level tsnrtc type hybrids which my not be considered a mutation, and the balloon and short body types. For me it's a bit strange it create a beast that nature could never produce, and create animals that must suffer deformity. I've seen few short bodies and balloons that don't compromise the health of the fish, and maybe even zero. I see the appeal, and if that's what people like I don't wish for them to be unable to keep them, they just won't find a way into my tank, at least knowingly.

I felt the same way until I got one, now I have two but that's another story. They are awesomely cool fish, I can hand feed and pet the Silver, the Jar is still a little skittish.

I'm sure they are cool fish, unfortunately my only tank capable of holding one is dedicated to a native setup that will always be my first passion haha.

I use to collect baseball cards. There was a gd following that said I wasn't a true hobbyist cause I wanted really flashy stuff ..WHAT A JOKE! I think they wanted & dreamed about the Mickey Mantle & Ted Williams cards..but their loss
