clean water, maybe a TOUCH of salt and some paraguard and I see no issues arising.
I'll try with the clean water approach. I did 50% 3 days ago with no fish in the tank and 20% last night and did put a small amount of salt in. I think I'll pick up some paraguard today too just to have on hand. Thanks

any time. paraguard is my go-to. easy on all fish and works damn well.

Yeah after looking more closely I noticed the end of its tail is white and kind of frayed. So I give it time or just treat it right away with the paraguard? Thanks again

I'd treat now. Paraguard dilutes after 24 hours so it wont put continued strain on your new piranha and its easy going on fish to begin with.

Sorry this is probably a stupid question but should I just follow the exact directions on bottle. Or do you do anything different. Thanks

start with a half dose and observe the fish for a day. after that increase it to the normal dose if hes acting ok.

I hope it pulls through! If its eating and acting normal I wouldn't be too concerned. Ya'll think this is Ammonia burn from transit? Don't most business fast the fast and add precautions for this not to happen?

I feel like it's gotta be difficult to properly fast the fish when you have no idea when the owner will show up to ship it.
