If I had to guess, I'd be willing to bet it maintained the white band on it's tail fin throughout adulthood. I also see the orange'sh hue on the dorsal fin, it will be interesting to watch your Riv matureHere's mine. Not sure what it is, but its tail is white/silver. He/she is roughly 3-4"

change from what though? It sounds like you're generalizing, not all will change over time. Many will stay the same or even become more bold depending on the parents, not all fade from one to the other as they mature. I'm sorry but it feels like we are talking about two different topicslol

gold can remain gold
