Sadly, the g poly jumped tank in the middle of a water change. I though he was hiding in a rock and he was on the floor. Total bummer. He was about 26".

Was he new or did you have him for a while??? Eitherway that totally sucks... did you try putting him back in the water???

Coz i've heard they can sometimes survive a while out of water...

I had him for over a year. I didn't find him until it was too late. Really bummed since I religiously kept the lids on at all times and he escaped during a water change.

Did you put it back into the water after it jumped out? My largest jumped out about a year ago, found the next morning. Rehydrated in tank water, and it started breathing again.

Some morays can go over a day out of water, some people have put dry and stiff fish back in the tank in very light flow and they perked up and where fine after a day or so
