Hello; I had not thought of that. Saw a documentary on free movie weekend Direct TV a week or so ago. A lawyer has been trying to get "person rights" for non human primates. Seems some gorillas watch TV and have favorite shows and movies. Took him 30+ years but he did get a judge in NY state to grant habaeus (sp) corpus for a non-human primate.Perhaps the gorilla wanted a litle revenge for Harambe.
Hello; Here is another item to think about. Heard on the TV in the background today a report that fewer people are concerned about losing weight anymore. Seems that being way overweight has become more acceptable.
Got me to thinking about a portion of recent posts in this thread. I wish to be specific here and not dredge up the particular topic. More to the point I am thinking of how media over time can influence how people think about things.
In the past being fat was pretty much look down on and considered to be a bad thing. For example I am well over the weight I consider to be good for me. I do feel bad about it and I hope to manage it better.
It seems now that more folks consider being fat to be no big deal. My specific question being has the media helped to push the change in attitude concerning acceptance?
Fair enough. There are a lot of "braai beer bellies" over here. I don't wanna end up too tubby one day if I can help it.Well people in the U.S. have a hard time fighting their addictions, food especially. We're weak for it, so what? Be happy about yourself.
Just don't expect much lovin as a fatty![]()
Hello; I think the issues of being overweight now are the same as they have always been. Most important being that it is a very unhealthy lifestyle. The health issues are much better understood over decades ago. I also figure the information is much more readily available than ever before. There is also the being unattractive aspect to throw in.Well people in the U.S. have a hard time fighting their addictions, food especially. We're weak for it, so what? Be happy about yourself.

hello; You are a teen I believe. A time of life when it is easier to stay thin even if you do not wish to be. Muscle mass will come if you work at it a bit more and more as you get older. You may not stop growing until the late teens.Fair enough. There are a lot of "braai beer bellies" over here. I don't wanna end up too tubby one day if I can help it.
I actually dropped weight like a rock after I started sports, and I'm not building much muscle so I'm awkwardly thin lol
