Passenger Dragged Off Of U.S. Airlines Flight!!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
The airline can refuse to let anyone board allowing them flexibility in running their service .. when they're boarded they rightly have to have a valid reason for deboarding someone as set out in the federal rules ..they broke those rules and felt they could abuse the us Marshall support to enforce removing a wholly innocent passenger ... come on guys there is a distinction here ... when u kick someone off a plane you rightly need a valid reason .. not our staff turned up late and decided they want this flight

Hard to argue with the points in this post.

Right, but the airline has their right to say what is and what isn't a valid reason right? They can deny you flight for many reasons THE AIRLINE says yay or nay. I mean they could deny you for being inappropriately dressed.

I think the staff was boarded due to a scheduling issue, they were trying to make connection to prevent another flight cancel or delayment, not like the staff was heading off on vacation.

Doesn't sound fair but it seems to be the case

Deny BOARDING with in guidelines of arranging alternative travel and compensation ! Not kick you off a plane ... argh once you have been cleared to board and seated it's a different ball game and there must be a valid reason

even united airlines have said they were wrong and changed their rules to state that no passenger can be removed from a plane for staff travel and involuntary denial of boarding can now only occur if the staff have prebooked the seat at least an hour before .. united have agreed this and changed their procedure as it contravened federal law[/QUOTE]

Well the verbiage says, "at any point, any passenger."

The clear point is they screwed up .. they didn't want to offer adequate compensation to encourage voluntary deboarding to resolve their error and they misused marshal law to do it .. they were in the wrong ... simples

I am now officially over this topic lol .... I do however encourage united to batter passengers who put their seats fully back at the start of a flight

Lol ok

1) difference between deny boarding and deboarding - with different rules - you are referring to deny boarding which does not apply

2) when overboarding was stated as a reason the federal laws surrounding involuntary denial of boarding due to overboarding came into play - these do not include kicking ur ass off a plane when seated - only safety or security rules apply then
