I have a 90 gallon (48x18) im currently resealing i bought off of craigslist and i wanna go with a cannister filter(s).
stocking:
1 jack dempsey
1 turqoise severum
1 gold nuggett pleco
1 peacock eel
I'd like to do black sand substrate and driftwood as an aquascape
I was thinking of either a fluval 406 or fx4? Maybe a powerhead to help get the gunk off of the sand. Let me know what you guys think this will be my first legitimate aquarium so any knowledge will be helpful and feel free to point out any flaws in the stocking as well I'm pretty inexperienced but these fish just cought my eye and seemed suited for the tank

Welcome to MFK! This looks like a good CL find! I don't see any problems with your stock initially, though I should mention I've not kept many eels... so not 100% sure on the "looks good". For being new to the hobby, props for jumping in with a re-seal! Be sure to get ALL of the old silicone off before laying in the new.

The stock may work but the JD and Severum may bicker for dominance because cichlids and other species of fish do that lol.
