As others have stated, I'd pass on the aro. Finding decent sized clowns to combat the fast growth of the Oscar could present a challenge. Mid-large clowns aren't always easy to find. I kept clowns with an Oscar in the past. While he didn't outright attack them, he was aggressive enough to make them hide a lot and change their outgoing nature that makes clowns so great. From my experience, I'd suggest looking at a more relaxed cichlid such as a chocolate, severum, uaru, geophagus, etc. As far as the BGK, you may want to get him before the clowns and get it eating well before introducing the clowns to ensure they don't outcompete it for food. While I have no personal experience with them, I have seen people keep monos in freshwater. But it is my understanding that they do best long term in brackish. Something else to keep in mind... Many clown loach keepers get addicted and add more to the shoal than they first planned. They are very social and do well in large groups. That said, six is a decent number to see their social behaviors.

Dammit. U know what. Tell me I really like the personality of an Oscar. I already have a bgk. I hate all other cichlids just maybe I am OK with Severum. So u guys only tell me some stocking ideas with this in mind.

Monos are best maintained in bracksish water apparently.

Have you seen festivum cichlids?

If you're mind is set on an oscar, then I'd skip the clowns. It can work, but won't be the best environment for the clowns imo. If you really like oscars, what about getting two or three of them and calling it a day? Or perhaps pictus cats for the bottom? ( I don't know much about those so others can chime in on that).

Not trying to sound ljke the stocking police in no way shape or form but when you consider the bioload of an adult oscar i would probably say it would be much easier on you to keep it to just the 1 oscar (amount of wcs needed to keep water quality in check)

Maybe look into some plecos or smaller to med sized growing catfish.

I can attest to this, once you have a pack of clowns it's all but impossible to pass up anymore that aren't juvenile.

I use to say pictus but there is evidence out there that Os are capable of catching them. So maybe 3 4-line pim cats and a barb shoal of 5-6 of the larger barbs anything Denison or bigger. Scanner or T barb would look nice if you can find them.
