That sounds kinda complicated. Brewers yeast? interesting. Haven't heard that about Excel, but good to know about the possibility.

Sweet. How often do you need to change the CO2? is it in the little tanks? Or am I thinking of something completely different?

I use 20lb tanks. I do a lot of welding and Jeep work and just pick up an extra bottle from the welding supply place. It will last upwards of 8 months before needing to be replaced. I've done a lot of yeast generators in the past and gotta say the switch to pressurized systems is totally worth the setup cost

Thanks!!! :D

Man I love this species.

Me too! He's quickly become one of my all time favorites. Going to be interesting to see how he reacts to my girlfriends oscar when it's finally big enough to go in the tank. Send her to Petsmart to get a new water bottle for the rats and she comes home with a baby tiger oscar...

Whoa, that's quite the fish to impulse buy haha - do you have room for an Oscar in there?

Yeah definitely not the best impulse buy but I can't be too mad at her, it's nice being with someone who has an interest in aquariums. He'll fit for a while but I already told her he's probably going to need to find a bigger home at some point. Her response was that I just need to finish my big tank by then so he can stay. I'm going to remind her of that when it's time to break out the welder, blueprints and bank accounts
