King of DIY gets an ornate

My thought is whether you like him or not him getting an ornate will bring attention to polys and get more people interested in them (that's what happened to me when he got Frank the flowerhorn now I want one). This will bring a bunch of people onto this forum growing the community.

My only worries are being as ornates have a rep of being a-holes(I'm 1 for 2) that it may turn some people off. Also I think I remember but am not sure but haven't polys been known to rip chunks out of rays? Personally I wish he had gotten a Teug because they look good get big and generally aren't a-holes.

Polys and rays don't go well together always. I've seen a teugelsi with rays and no prob. A few Asian keepers tanks with them and do fine. I know one member on here that had a lower jaw with a ray and it was biting the ray.

If he does not mix well with his rays he will still be able to move him to another tank in the gallery. That's the advantage when you have so much space at your disposition.

Also interested to see what he will do with the other 120's. I know he's got a Malawi and Tanganyika tank, plus he'll have a SA tank and a CA/flowerhorn tank. That leaves another six tanks though.
Surely one will be a reef, he said two will be lightly planted tanks, so he's still got three left.

That would be cool. Maybe he will do a reef and a FOWLR, or a SPS reef and a LPS/softie reef.
It'll be interesting to see. And even if that is the case - there are still two tanks left to stock!

Edit - he did say in the video with the ornate and the uarus, that he's doing piranhas in one tank. That could be one of the planted ones he has planned though.

+1 never trust a poly with rays, ive seen some thread here that they mix the two and the poly endup tearing the ray up or the rays end up stabbing the poly.

I'd guess that his ornate will get a 120 to live in, or it'll get rehomed. I'd hate to see one of his beautiful rays get shredded by a $50 poly.

Looks like one of the tanks will be a discus tank, according to his new video.
