Me: I love mokes. she’s so pretty and always swims up and says hi. I want to keep her.
Also me: she doesn’t play well the others and I can’t keep her in my 55g. And a 10 gal is wayyyyyyy too small.

Update: debating replacing substrate entirely with eco complete in order to get the plants to grow. Deciding between this or flourish tabs. On a mission to buy or make more hides(plants and wood) for the polys.
Found out my light is 6500k. Not sure if this is inhibiting plant growth. Looking into trace nutrients the plants might be missing like potassium as someone mentioned in my other thread. The new leaves are almost yellow-green translucent. Then older ones have BB algae or diatoms.Still dealing with algae. Going to try the hydroxide thing with the Blackbeard’s algae this weekend.

Flourish sand. Mix it with your current sand. Or just get root tabs to help feed the plants. Pfs should grow plants fine just doesn't have any nutrients. Root tabs work miracles.

Sweet. Thank you. That's good to know. I think I might just do the root tabs for now. That way I can buy a bunch more plants.
How many is a good starting point for a 55 g? I see they have a 10 pack and 40 pack on amazon. They are saying 6 tabs for every 10 gals every 1-3 months. so I would need 50 tabs every 1-3 monthes. seems kinda excessive?
You need 1 tab per like 10"ish of floor space. Then depending on growth replace every 2-3 months. I should have replaced mine sooner but just did it sunday.
sounds good. I'm also thinking of getting a potassium supplement as recommended.
