I dont know if Discus could handle being with the big pearsei or het without getting stressed, but I used to have an angel with my fish at one time but I had to rehome because it could not keep up with the aggressive feeders.

Along those line I was looking at a group of Festivum....
 
Oh I forgot about pearsi. That would narrow down your choices. Wild Oscar or datnoid would be nice.

I think monsters aquarium have odeo pikes in stock, does fish you mentioned are really nice schooling fish.
 
Also in regards torpedo shaped fish I have been looking at pike cichlids. Wet Spot has Johanna that Im interested in and of course there is the Holy Grail of pike that I would love to own, the Zebrina but I dont have that kind of money to drop. Likely will not do the pike cichlids because I just feel they may be a little too aggressive for the current tank.

What about an L600 ? If I didn't have acrylic I'd definitely have another.

Some of the vendors on here have cool catfish. Maybe vulture or bolt cat ?

I had a lenticulata pike with polys before and they seem to play well together. The pike will peck at the polys if they come too close to his corner.

I had the poor mans L600, lol. I had a L114, a very similar looking pleco. I have been kind of done with plecos after I rehomed by big rhino. Just the poop clean up was a pain.

I missed out on the vulture cat a while back because I didnt have my qt tank set up. Still working on that but should be real soon. Anyway its a favorite cat of mine so its a big possibility.

I still want to get the poly numbers down and I just dont see a mix where the mean endli goes. It is probably my favorite all around poly for looks and size but super lazy. If I add a cat or bottom dweller I think I will rehome the koliba and Nigerian laps for sure. If I just add an upper dweller then likely the polys will stay put.

Saw another fish of interest, a pom pom knife. But the reports say they are aggressive so another fish that seems like it wont work.
