I’ve been able to get some off using novus 1 and 2, and then using my finger nails to peel it off. It some places you can see there is something there. Will just have to spend a couple hours of it. There is a lot that is masked because of the black plywood and then the seam having a black tint due to the bottom being painted. It’s above the seam that I’m focusing on.

I’m done for the next couple days. Will be completing backflush on Monday and filling the tank. Wanted to add a couple pics.
1) added locline and eductors. I’ve put eductors only on two returns so I can test the gph for the regular return
2 and 3) the lids that were provided. The clear lids are made from lexand so they don’t warp, and the small holes above the hmf corners is actually made from pvc material. Happy with both.

Ive not use it but if you use soap and water you shouldn’t have to use adhesive at all.
I believe it comes with adhesive that interacts with the soap and water. I’ll check.
Well had somewhat of a screw up today. Cut a piece of pvc too short and stuck the cemented side of a piece of pvc into the wrong side of a union. First pic is where it is too short. About 3/4in of pvc is cemented and I’m hoping it’s sufficient otherwise I’ll gave to replace. Other wrong cemented pvc, it was too late to pull out so I’m hoping there is just enough cement in the pvc that it sticks to the union.
Both issues are the backflush line so hoping it’s good enough for that.
Other item is that I got a 1.5in bulkheads with threads and slip. I will be using the bulkhead up against the wall to run pvc through the wall. The reason for the threads is that I want to be able disassembled this pvc line easily if needed.

Well it’s messy but I finally have the backflush connected. Here are pics of it going through the wall and then directed to my laundry sink. Had to get creative a bit.
I will start filling in a few minutes to test for leaks. Hope to fire up the ultima today. I will need to finish install of hmf tonight and then piping for the drip system tomorrow.

any tricks to running the ultima? I need to read through the directions. Here is my plan:1) close all valves and fill the tank up to the 1/2in drip drain.
2) once I’ve confirmed there are no tank leaks/bulkhead leaks I will open the valves for returns and intakes
3) by doing step 2 I am assuming this will prime the reeflo? This way I can fire it up?
Btw, do you drill holes into your returns?
