The bit of darkness in the dorsal does not seem significant enough to warrant thinking its female IMO, especially with the steep profile.
Here is another shot of a male, displaying dominance, and preparing to start courting a female.

No venting pics, even when tiny, the gender differences like profile are obvious when together.
The Herichthys carpintus in the pic below are only about an inch, and the male in the middle stands out, compared to the females .

Sure does. It’s interesting about the “blotch” sexing. Caprintis and deppi (closely related), the blotch isn’t a reliable way like some species like salvini.
Example is my current deppi has a blotch but steep profile.

Does any of y’all know how to make it more active. He only sits in a corner and doesn’t move or eat at all

just purchased this fish and it got shipped so it is stressed out just to let you guys know.

Your fish needs some time to adjust, as you said it is stressed.

Depends on the fish, could be anywhere from a few days to a few months. As a general rule older fish tend to take longer to adjust.
