I am hesitant to pull the trigger on it simply because I have a 180 gal (6x2x2) and I know only a few species can live in one for life and I don’t want to get a “teacup” and end up having to rehire it in a year. This is an interesting one. Tough to see the colors but looks hybrid with maybe p14 and Motoro. Will be easier to tell in a few months. If hybrid will be impossible to know for sure but we can estimate.

Really only 2 rays would be comfortable in a 180. Teacup not being an actual species, you are limited to either a mini marble or a hystrix. A 180 would be good for 2 years for most species in my opinion.I am hesitant to pull the trigger on it simply because I have a 180 gal (6x2x2) and I know only a few species can live in one for life and I don’t want to get a “teacup” and end up having to rehire it in a year.
That’s what i’ve read. I’ve been looking for either a hystrix or scobina forever but can’t find any at all because of the ban in brazil. So you think this “teacup” ray could grow out in my 180 for about 2 years? I’m about 90% sure it’s a male as well. ThanksReally only 2 rays would be comfortable in a 180.
