I guess you could paint it green for a more 'natural' look, hee. Or hang rubber worms from the holes...
[/QUOTE. Nice Cloth hanging from Good Will or Poster print? Aquarium background of submerged tree trunks. Fairly common in aquarium backgrounds. Enhance the tank tree trunk and make it look like it goes on into a submerged mangro wetland?

These pellets are very small. Maybe 2 mm max. They aren’t just round either they are more like they took a big chunk of the food and smashed it with a hammer and made really small random shaped pieces. My flowerhorn is loving it. I tried throwing some into my community tank but not many liked it. If I rememebr the rainbows were going after it the most. And the two angelfish too.

I bought a package of the Vibra Bites, not realizing they are so tiny...too tiny for my fish. If they could make a larger version of "worm shaped" pellets that would work. They might work for your little one though.

I have a ceramic white pestle bowl that everyone knows means "FOOD!!" on cue...they see the bowl and come racing. TiP: when I soak pellets I use the hottest water from the tap. This makes them swell faster (and stink more, stimulating appetite). wait 2-3 minutes then pour cold water in to get the right temp. Drop 'em in and watch the fun.

Different pellets take longer to soak The Hikari Excel (green pellets) take around 5 minutes. I would test 'crunchy' pellets to make sure they don't dissolve into a mushy mess. I have all Hikari brand pellets I mix and match. When they get 'spongy' they're perfect. My fish slurp 'em up like jello.

I have a marble mortar/pestle to crush other dry pellets. Try the bug bites too.

Great, one happy handsome family. Your flowerhorn's speckles seem to change from gold to silver in some photos. Either looks good. Is that lighting in picture or flash? Or is it your fish changing colors?

I think it’s probably just the flash. (But between you and me let’s say it changes color, that sounds cooler)

I love the pearls on him. He seems to be quite overfed though so I would consider fasting him. After your done feeding your flowerhorn it’s belly shouldn’t ever be that big.

I hardly feed as is lol. Twice a day. Just one small pinch of bug bites. That’s it. He’s doesn’t even get all of them since some go to the gravel. I suppose he picks those up over time tho.
