Any predictions on this pair?

I believe the male to be a King Kamfa and the female a Kamalau both showing excellent traits.

From what I can tell both are 100% red, worm pearl crossing the forehead and neck, stubby face, uniformed mouths and extremely Koky.

I'll probably share the fry with the community, if anyone has any ideas on what I could expect I would love the input.

Right on!

He must have been a surrender to an LFS because the owner has no idea what he is or his background so I was able to get him for half of listed sale price.

I usually start as early as possible. It depends on how much space you have and if you can isolate the dominant and faster growers. By 1" I try and get the number down by half. The last fh spawn I did I was down to 10 growouts from a spawn of 250-300 by 3". Always best to give the ones you like as much clean water and space as you can instead of trying to grow them all in crowded tanks and dirty water.
