1v1 *Hypothetic* Fish Fight BRACKET VOTING and Entering

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
imo bettas can only take down thing in a lower weight class
tbf same, never had issues with bettas with smaller fish, but after the incident with the tiger barb, I pretty much only kept them with neons and rasboras. The tiger barb was slightly smaller too.

Swordtail vs Loach...
Gonna have to pick the swordtail, I can’t imagine a dwarf loach being capable of any real damage.

Anyway I think loach wins, as snail eaters they have powerful jaws and they've been known to harass corydoras and bite their eyes off

"Be cautious, however, about keeping sids with slow peaceful bottom-dwelling Corydoras catfish and the like, as ‘the monkeys’ can be too boisterous. They have been known to be so inquisitive as to inflict physical injury on Corydoras, such as biting at their eyes"

Let me know if a swordtail can do anything similar. I doubt swordtails have enough bite to take down any sort of snail which dwarf chain loaches do eat

A swordtail probably doesn’t have as dangerous of a bite, but is quite capable of harassing a loach. They also have a size advantage and a pretty good tolerance of aggression (naturally living with large CA cichlids).

I thought the size limit was 2"? The loach gets to 2" and so does the swordtail. Besides the chain loach lives with other aggressive fish like barbs, puffers, snakeheads, larger loaches, and bettas.
