I'm sure some have said this, but one of the worst might be a dyed version of the otherwise somewhat infrequently seen Parambassis ranga, (below) named the "painted glass fish."

Unlike GloFish, painted glass fish are made with harmful dye, instead of harmless jellyfish/sea anemone genes (a la GloFish.)
Obviously, this is very detrimental to their health.
That’s really why I don’t mind glofish. It isn’t dangerous to them, and looks cool. Problem is just the inbreeding to keep them that way. And it’s interesting that they were created for biological research, then made available for the aquarium hobby.

Bettas
Flowerhorns
Blood Parrots
Livebearers
Convicts
I love bettas and am personally offended.
Livebearers are far more useful and versatile than many think, I have many across my multiple tanks, as centerpiece, feeders, dithers, breeders, etc.
As for the rest, though? Flowerhorns are sorta cool, but I've never particularly cared for them, convicts, or BPs.

I personally don't have a problem with those who dislike my favorites, but being indifferent and/or disliking to Siamese fighting fish prior to plans for a rescue, I'd like to say a dislike for them can disappear in a heartbeat when you see one that has to be rescued.

Yeah, the genetically-fiddled monsters are bad enough...can't forget about the fish that are born "natural" and then undergo assorted mutilations to "improve" them.

I saw a pic of a large Giant Gourami recently which had an almost unbelievably uniform pattern of dots on its flanks. Turns out it was tattooed!
