Stunning fish! I love the pearling on the cyanos. After having this Carpintis, Im hooked on the Hericthys cichlids. I definitely need to get a Cyano at some point in the future.

Another pic from March. I actually think this is the original pic from my first post. Funny, I just moved this rock to my convict tank because he barely fit in it. Also don’t look at the algae on the heater lol.

Saw that Petco was having a 50% sale and decided to get the 75 I’ve been talking about getting. I know not the biggest upgrade but it’s gonna make me feel much more comfortable having Bruce in that 4x18 footprint. Im super excited to set this up in the near future.

My Carpintis grew slow in a 180 gallon.

Quick growth update on Bruce the Carpintis. My guess is he is at the 5.5 inch mark. Still growing pretty slow as expected but at least it’s consistent growth. About a 1/2 each month. My father and I are also planning on getting him into the 75 gallon one day this upcoming week. I’m wondering if it’s worth venting the fish during the switch. I’m still positive he’s a male but for some reason I have this urge to know for certain. I don’t want to put the fish any unnecessary stress. Any thoughts on this?
