Before you go and get to excited over stock, what are your plans to build this tank? I'd focus on that before stock, because without the tank there is no stock! I know it's nice to dream, I've been there but building a tank is NOT easy. Put all this energy and excitement to good use and get some solid plans together to make these fish their dream home :)

Rays are great fish, even though they have no scales are are relatives to sharks and such. They are very good sand sifters iMO, I have yet to come home and see the sand in the same place yet. Only thing u have to remember on rays is that they grow and grow rather decently based on ur feeding. They are bottomless pits when it comes to eating. Just be careful on selection of sexes. Dont get more then 1 male unless u have multiple frmales. 1 male to 2 females works well. Unless u get one of each at the same time. Then u may be good to go. Now it comes down to other bottom dwellers, like the tig I was talking about before, awesome ray tankmate as far as cats go. Not crazy aggressive feeder and wont eat all the food before the ray gets a chance to. one of the worse things to see is a skinny ass ray with pelvic bones showing. Very sad and not necessary as long as u help prevent it from happening

Flag tail sometimes suck slime from Rays just a heads up.
