planted guppie tank, start out with 2 male and 4 females and then they will have babies and if the tank has plants and hiding places give it a month or so and you will have a buetifully coloured tank filled with guppies =D or you can have the babies be feeders for your other fish ^^

that would be neet but i already have a blue ram for the tank. he may eat the guppies. i am looking for slightly larger tankmates.

get another blue ram, maybe a snail that'll eat algea, a dwarf gourami, and a school of smaller fish.

i think this is more along the lines of what i want to do. i just havent found another blue ram since the one i just bought. id like to get a female.

blue rams and tank mates will look awesome. In my experience rams dont like shiney tetras like neon. U can get some other schooling fish for color. A nice snail would be nice too. A honey gourami or a dwarfs gourami would be really cute. BTW Discus get to 6" wide about desert plate size and bigger ...never fit in a 10g. if u dont go for tetras u could do a cute school of cories. I just got panda cories today they school very nicely , look very cute . :D

when doing the other rams, if you want them to breed, put a peice of flagstone or slate in the tank for them to breed on, this whiil become their territory. for a gourami i would do either a honey or the red dwarfs and maybe a shoal of zebra danios or rasboras.

i cand find anther blue ram for the life of me! let alone a female! do you think the rams and gourami would get along ok?

i had it set up then i decided to keep them at my house. so i put them in a 30 gal that i had available. i could bget some pics.

6 cardinal tetras
2 dwarf gouramis
4-6 cories
with tons of fake plants to make it look real. (you wanted low maintence you definitley dont want real plants)
