Oops...I meant Lance Armstrong.:headbang2:D

In the Olympics, he only has a bronze from 2000. He won the tour de france a bunch of times though.

12 Volt Man, why not do larger changes or set up an automatic water change system?

it may not be necessary to do more/larger water changes since nitrates are only a problem in very high levels. if the nitrate level stays fairly constant, as it does in most tanks that have regular water changes performed, the fish should be fine. its very seldom that fish run into problems in tanks with regular water changes performed.

the people that run into trouble are the ones that never change their water..I have seen it 1000 times while working at the LFS, testing people's bad water..:)

Nicely coming along 12voltman. Keep the pics coming! I'm one of these fish keepers that just likes seeing photo after photo, different angles etc etc.

I have a school of 6 silver sharks - look about the size of those barbs. It's nice when the scale pattern really starts defining the fish. Mines are growing pretty fast -
must be the x3 feedings a day and 50percent changes of the water weekly!

Wow, those lemon barbs have really grown! I never notice fish growth until I see old pictures.

I remember when I first bought my pacu and she was the size of maybe a dollar coin and I could hold her in the palm of my hand. She was about 1/4 the size of my palm. Then one day I woke up and realized that she's now three times bigger than my hand. :O

This thread really makes me want to get lemon fin barbs!

switch in some actinic bulbs and trade out the gravel for sand
