Tank dimensions isn't as much of an issue for rays as water quality. If you are going to keep one of the larger growing rays (All the common ones.) you will want a tank of atleast 240 gallons just for dilution purposes.

Is that notch on the right side from the previous owner? Can't beat free glass that thick though... Dimensions are great, gives you lots of room for lots of options..

I still may add some kind of braces on top ... I would not want to silicone a strip or glass tru the middle though ... if anything I will cut 4 little triangles and silicone them on the top of the corners ...

Tank isn't very high I doubt that the glass that I used will be not enough ! Jesus it's 5/8 ! what should I use 1 inch ? ;)

Thanks and wish me good luck I'm far from done,

Voy
Don’t worry about adding the braces they aren’t necessary unless you’re worried about the “safety factor”. I built a 90 gal rimless tank that isn’t as deep as your tank but it is slight longer and 4” taller with ½” glass for the sides. I have also seen other professionally built 120 gal rimless tanks that used ½” for the sides.

Any updates?

soon brother, soon =) I will post some more pics and more info - I've been crazy busy with ... life I guess =)

ps. It will not be a tank for rays ... unless something hits me and then I will change my mind - it will be a planted tank.
