I am thinking of buying a large bin about 120 gallons,a nd taking my garden hose and siphoning the water from his tank, into the bin in the bed of our truck, and then siphoning it back into the tank, would this work?

scratch that, i will just buy the salt mix and mix my own salt.

The tank has a Bat Fish, a Yellow Tang, and another, the batfish is large, the owner told me 7" and the filter is a w/d w/ a sump under the tak in the stand =D

yeah well a 7" batfish isn't nessicarily large, they get well over a fott something like 18". if it's only 7'' or so i would think you could still sell it or donate to a LFS but choose one that has a large tank for him to into. when bats get older most people don't want them cause they are too big and loose their characteristic bat shape.

The bat is 9", the yellow tang and this other fish looks like a tang are about 5" each. The tank came with about 120+ pds of live rock, a sump, built in overflow, and 2 spraybars... great ****ing deal lool, and the pump, tons of chemicals, heater, lights, and the tank is Acrilic with a nice solid oak stand and canopy, it was a ***** to move and we had to cut the pvc in the overflow but we are going to reseal them. I will take pics when it's all done, looks amazing =D And i kept most of the water from the tank!!!

the other fish is a sailfin tang, it's an adult almost, and looks like the adult. I have the fish in a saltwater container witha live rock and a bubler, this guy said he had these fish before without a bubler for 10+ hours and they lived. I probably wont get the tank set up yet but i might today, but prob tomarrow, the batfish is the only one who got a little beat up but the rest are fine =D

cant edit for some reason, but it also came with a coral life amp, for 4x 8 lights, of coral life, 65watts per 2 i think? And they are hooked up to the amp, gonna check out what it is.

yeah if the posts are more than 30mins apart you can't edit.
is the tank up and running?

no, i am going to set it up now with my dad, i have tons of saltwater, and the tank was already full of salt, with the live rock, so i will just add some freshwater and let the pump mix it before i put the fish in, the fish are ina large container that their saltwater is, with some live rock, and a pump with air.

The lights are amazing! 4xdual coralife lights, with 4 blue and 4 white? They look so good, going to start to set the tank up now, the batfish is really torn up=/ the tang and the other tang are fine tho.

i would mix the water before or at least while you're filling it up. adding too much FW at once can kill off more of the bacteria on the rock.

mix it with like a spoon? we just moved the tank in, now we are getting new tubing for the sump, for some reason the sump had nothing in it... the sump sends water threw 2 spray bars, the fish are all looking very healthy, and just the batfish is a little scratched up... I was told that both of the tangs are 7 years old, and the Batfish is 1 year old..., the tangs are only about 4-5" doesn't add up =/ should have tank set up in 2 hours and fish in about 3.
